Our history

 

Progetti has started its activity in 1987 with professional design and development due to the fact that the two company's promoters both came from specific monetics sector.
First payment applications of electronic payment were effected on dedicated hardware and on standard platforms together with development of communication software, safe data, archiving programs, magnetic and intelligent card handling, communication protocols and special and safe peripherals.
Our activity has been enlarged to solutions of problematics related to safety. Integrity, transfer and archive of information.
During our activity we have more and more accrued the necessary know-how to cooperate with the most important POS manufacturers in Italy and abroad, introducing and improving the HgePOS system actually universally used in Italy for EFT transaction, thus acquiring a distinctive competence in this field. For this reason we are now in position to deal this system, we can say almost exclusively in Italy, as a true, real and obtainable multiplatform modality.
Besides this activity, which constitutes the core business of Progetti, we have always been accustomed to deal with specific projects which could enlarge our knowledge and libraries and anyhow were connected to the main activity.
Therefore particular interfaces, board and network pads, multimedia card readers, safety machines, integration of special boards and components in standard contexts like Windows and Linux with implementation of driver programs have been developed.
All this work has led us to obtain the necessary experience and capacity for implementing a real system integration allowing to interface and interchange data using our proprietary functionalities between non compatible systems.

Historical signals

Company's promoters have partecipated to the birth of EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) in Italy since 1984 with Sixcom Olivetti's company.
Sixcom introduced on italian market first payment system called GePOS (Gestione POS - POS Management) in 1986. GePOS was based on Sixcom EFT terminals and Unix based servers provided by AT&T.
At starting of '90 GePOS migrated on mainframe environment by NCH and others EFT-POS terminals brands comes in the italian market.
HGePOS is actually still used and it will be substituted after 20 years of honored service with more modern italian EMV compliant system defined by Microcircuito (ABI).

Another important step in Progetti's promoters was Telepass (freeway dinamic toll payment - società Autostrade), they developed first release software, starting from since prototipes to the first installation (1987).
